The Reverend Deacon Ryan, Curate

Deacon Ryan was ordained on Mother’s Day 2023 in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) and later joined the Anglo-Catholic tradition. Before his ordination, he worked as a photographer with national publications and celebrity contracts. He also served as a U.S. Navy corpsman, stationed with the Marines three times, and concluded his service at Pearl Harbor.

He holds a BA in Christian Ministry and a Master of Divinity. Currently pursuing a ThM in Old Testament at Denver Seminary, his academic focus includes the heavenly temple (Ex 25:8-9) and the relevance of ancient corporate worship practices today. His broader scholarly interests include the study of Leviticus, the belief that hell was not created for humans (Mt 25:41), and the church’s role as a messiah (Acts 13:47). Future aspirations include establishing an Anglo-Catholic seminary.
