Whither social media?

We are in the world, but not of the world. We cast our eyes heavenward, full of hope and expectation. Yet, we still must deal with the world as it is.

It is unfortunate that social media sites, Facebook and others, have decided that some speech and some ideas are too dangerous to exist. Right now that speech is mainly, but not exclusively, political. We might expect that, since traditional catholic and orthodox Christianity supports morals and ideas that are not currently in vogue in our culture, Facebook pages for churches like this will be removed from public view.

I would ask you to stay in contact through our website. We will provide Pastoral and spiritual updates here more than anyplace else, and we will explore other options to stay in touch with our friends and parishioners via social media platforms that are less likely to censure traditional beliefs.
